This lesson was rich in ideas and recommendations for developing class plans and materials. In particular, I found the discussion of how we might adapt games to be suitable for our classes to be very helpful in stimulating further thought in how to do this in my own classes. Sometimes, just a few examples can be very helpful in opening up my mind to the possibilities within my own classes, so thank you!
I also found the encouragement to include various holidays and season-based classes to be helpful for the same reason. This month, I’m developing a Mother and Toddler class that I will be running in the fall, so I think I will incorporate at least one holiday class now.
I appreciated the sample lesson plans and materials at the end of the lesson. Though there was nothing particularly new there, it was good to see samples of different people’s ideas for material similar to my own.
