When implementing a case study in our lesson, we should take into consideration the following steps:
- introduce and give an activity background,
- pre-teach the vocabulary,
- process demonstration,
- give the framework (input – process - output),
- give the time for the activity,
- feedback and correction.
Speech Art Theory consists of the following:
- utterance,
- propositional utterance,
- illocutionary utterance, and
- perlocutionary utterance.
What I’ve found as the most useful part of this Unit are definitely the resources because they represent authentic teaching/learning materials which are often difficult to find, for instance, the online page containing thousands of world’s newspapers or the one containing forms and templates for business documentation, etc. The samples of lesson plans, found in the end of the Unit, will be beneficial and helpful for future career.
