Speaking and writing: Speaking and writing are the productive skills in English that helps to facilitate the interaction between teachers and learners or students. The elements of grammar are as well taught in this unit so as to ease communication because different people communicate for different reasons.
Speaking and writing is centered on Accuracy and Fluency . Accuracy in the sense that you produce the correct language and fluency which gives room for experimentation and be creative with the language.
However, both are important and are practiced alongside spellings, pronunciation, vocabulary and game activities just to name a few with the use of the ESA to ease communication.
Therefore, a teacher should be able to control and not interrupt the ESA stages in the process of learning. Corrections should be made at the end and students with poor performances should be motivated as well.
