The attitude that the teacher comes into class with will have a profound effect on the success of the lesson. If the teacher has a positive and engaging attitude during the lesson, the students will respond with a high level of participation. The Engage phase is very important and should involve a concept that the students could understand, this encourages them to participate. Using techniques such as gestures and miming help the students produce more vocabulary and to aid their understanding. When the teacher's voice is loud and clear, it promotes to effective understang the main point of the lesson by the students. Moreover it's necessary to learn the students’ names for easy involving all of them in the lesson.
The teacher shouldn't say that the material is very easy and that anyone can do it. This could make the students feel reluctant to participate for fear of answering incorrectly.
