Unit 13 focuses on pronunciation and phonology which is so far the most difficult for me. The intonation is very important to make understand the meaning of what we want to express. The teacher must have strong skills in intonation and pronunciation and must play with it to bring life to the lesson. Lots of games can be applied for that lesson such as Tongue twister, drama, dialogue ; to help the students to understand the concept and general rules for the pronunciation, stress and intonation. From what I have learnt, the time it took me to assimilate the content and the boredom, I think a teacher should include the concept of the pronunciation, stress and intonation little by little, and include it in the study phase. Therefore, with a good lesson plan that includes variety of games, activities and role-play, the teacher can expect a good level of motivation, interest and fun from the students.
