There are three ways to assess student's language level, which are Tutorials, Evaluation by students and Tests.Tutorials are for reviewing the work done, discussing the aims of lessons,how well the students perform the tasks and whether there are any problems at the end of each week if possible. Evaluation by students is to ask students to evaluate the course by means of questionnaire or guided discussion, in order to gather how the students feel about the course, the results of survey can be discussed and future lessons considerate in the lights of student's 'comments'. Test is often appropriate to give at different stages in a course,many teachers prefer to give regular but short tests and then a longer, formal test every term. There are 6 kinds of test available, which are Placement tests, Progress tests, Diagnostic tests, Practice tests, General external examinations and Cambridge Assessments.
