This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
In every language, there are always problems in teaching skills, and most common problems are related when the students have difficult in learning a new word, most of them are from different countries, don´t have english basics. The first lessons are very important to establishing a good rapport between teacher and students, for this reason creating warm up, pass the ball, evaluate the students skills are very important to have a reference for future lessons. In my experience as a teacher and as a language student if not one of these activties are included later the class can be difficult or boring, specially with the listening skills because is one of the receptive skills that must be worked hard, specially if you are in a country where you cannot listen this language, I am glad of taking this course because it taught me a lot of skills and I hope it can work as a reference for future lessons.
