This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
After reading unit 16 thoroughly, I learnt about the five main conditions and the way how to switch direct speech to reported speech. I also learnt about some teaching ideas of teaching these two grammatics. It mentioned in this unit that while teaching these contents, teachers should take step by step slowly.I cannot agree more. These contents actually are quite challenge for non native students. It always confuses them with the exchange of the different tenses. The teaching idea \"intermediaries\" seems very interesting, It seems to give students more chances to talk in class time. Teacher might guide them to learn basic rules of how to convert direct speech into reported speech, then give them a topic and ask students to do pair work. Students may write down the key expressions on the small word cards and practice with their partner. In the end, they might share their own story to other groups.
