There are 15 different teaching aids used to make the lessons more interesting and engaging. The most common are white boards, overhead projectors (OHP), visual aids, worksheets, DVD videos, and sometimes an interactive whiteboard (IWB) depending on the facility and the facility's budget. Whiteboards are the most common aids because they are good for keeping students' attention and easy to write on. The OHP is used frequently to teach a lesson and to go over feedback together after written exercises. Visual aids are ver common as well. They allow students to make easier connections with objects and language through pictures. Worksheets are used for reading and grammar practice. Cards are good for role play activities that encourage communication. DVD videos can depict authentic scenarios and common conversations or places found in English speaking countries. They are learning and exploring devices.
