The unit focused on lesson planning. It focused on the importance of lesson planning , how to write a plan ,what should be included in the plan and as well as self evaluation. The unit covered ground on the principles of lesson planning which include simplicity , flexibility and structuring. It highlighted certain aspects that should be included in a lesson plan and these are learner objectives, language points, teaching aids that one will use, timing and interaction, to mention a few. I learnt about the importance of lesson planning and the importance of being organised as a teacher. I also learnt that apart from student evaluation it is also important for the teacher to have set goals but more importantly to evaluate his or her own work. I learnt that teacher evaluation as it gives room for one to acknowledge their mistakes and a chance to improve in turn making the teacher a better professional.
