This unit covered the equipment that might be available for use withing the classroom. It broke down the usage of these various types of equipment, as well as the advantages, and disadvantages, of each piece of equipment. The unit also included many links to online resources which might prove useful to both the teacher and the student. It helps to give a better understanding of how to effectively use the equipment, and to develope ideas on how to potentially combine teachers aids to improve a lesson or activity.This lesson dealt primarily with language teaching methodologies. After reviewing a number of commonly recognized methods of teaching (Audio-lingual, task-based, community based etc.) the lesson focused primarily on Jeremy Harmer's ESA methodology. I feel that the ESA method in its various forms will serve a useful format for my future lesson plans. It involves engaging students, getting students to demonstrate their knowledge in study activities, and free-form communication among students in the activate stage.
