This unit allowed me the chance to familiarize myself with the important aspects of teaching communicative skills in a classroom. I learned the do's and do not's of what to discuss while trying to get the students involved in a fluency activity. I learned the most important elements to consider whilst teaching about writing. Finally, I revisited my knowledge on the ESA approach, and found the test very useful in quizzing me on this formerly covered material.This unit covered the four different past tenses. As with present tenses, the four variations were simple, continuous, perfect, and perfect continuous. I found this unit to be easier than the unit on present tenses because they followed the same patterns I already studied in that unit. For example, the formula for present perfect continuous is (subject + have + been + verb-ing) and the formula for past perfect continuous is (subject + had + been + verb-ing).
