I really liked learning the disadvantages and advantages of using a textbook in this chapter. Also, what to consider when choosing a textbook for your students. I never really thought about the importance of this until now and it really can make a difference in your teaching. I remember having textbooks in school that were mostly not useful and very expensive. I do not think teachers really thought about this very often and therefore were not considered very good nor popular teachers.Apparently it is easier to catch some ideas watching the way they need to be done, instead of reading its process and with unit 10 I personally witnessed that. Now I am wide aware of what to do as a ESL teacher, and more importantly, what I should avoid doing in s class. Actually, after having watch these videos I can name a long list of ideas while teaching Modal auxiliary verbs. It is always helpful watching others performances so we can tell what we would do differently and how.
