Unit 15 talked about the different evaluations and testings a teacher can give to a student. The first type of test is the placement test which is designed to understand a students language ability. Progress tests are used to understand how far a student is coming. Diagnostic tests are similar to placement tests but are used at a start of a class to understand a student's strengths and weaknesses. Practice tests are given to help prepare students for external tests.Past tenses are just as important as present tenses, and will allow students more flexibility to what they are able to communicate when just starting out. Learning the tenses correctly upfront is crucial to their ability to form sentences, and communicate during the beginning and later stages of learning English. Teachers need to be very clear on which tense is what to make sure their students learn correctly, and understand the material, as it can be very confusing.
