After reviewing over this lesson, I feel I am prepared to understand how to gauge a student on their progress of learning the English language. In example if a student can form basic sentence structures and understands simple topic points, then I can asses them as an elementary learner, or a Waystage, A2. If they have an extensive vocabulary and understanding of the English language, then they are at an advanced level, or a Mastery, level C2. I have also learned of different methods and roles I can play as a teacher to help the student, whether it be being the leading role in a lesson acting as a controller, or being a prompter and encouraging the students to come to conclusions on their own. Additionally, I learned how to incorporate a wide variety of these methods of teaching to different age groups, cultural backgrounds and language levels to keep the students interested and enveloped in the class.
