In the Unit 1 we have an overview of the TEYL course where we are getting to know the syllabus of the course, it’s aim and objectives and general terminology we are going to meet during the course.
As an essential term of this course in the Unit 1 we also talk about who the young learner is; age boundaries of this term and features. The most important characteristic of the young learners that they still developing, physically and mentally. They continuously going through changes and teaching them might be intellectually challenging sometimes. The teacher to the YL to be success must have at least background knowledge about biology and children psychology and firm knowledge in pedagogy. Nevertheless, as much as it can be difficult to teach YL in can also be highly rewarding. Because kids are tend to be active and curious during their lessons, they are creative and easy to involved into the process.
