This Unit focused on the basics of creating a Lesson plan, the reasons behind why the creation of a lesson plan is useful and beneficial for the teacher, the students as well as other teachers. In addition to the lesson plan, which had many suggestions about how to organize a lesson while maintaining flexibility included learner aims, teaching goals, time/date, class level, time for activity, materials needed, monitoring or not, class size, lesson phase and anticipated issues as well as solutions - there was also the topic of creating a Sequence of Lessons that would bring the class through a unit or a semester. This too had to be flexible to allow for individual student learning, the teacher to improvise for unforeseen issues and to allow students and the teacher both to have a variety of activities to engage in for reasons of keeping the classroom teaching style dynamic and avoid repetition or boredom.
