This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit was simple for me due to my teaching experience in a primary setting and often having large classes of 26-30 students. I had to ensure a strong focus on classroom management in order to maintain an effective learning environment for the students. However, I did find the unit useful in my professional reflection, especially in relation to noise levels and grouping.
I have some feedback in relation to the test, which is that using negative statements to ask a question can be very confusing, especially question 9. I understand this is to provoke thinking around the question but I feel that having a double negative in a question/answer requires thinking about the question as opposed to the content. As an experienced teacher I feel I am quite proficient in classroom management but I am not feeling confident about this test, purely because of the double negative questions! Just some food for thought.
