The final lesson! Very often the first lesson is extremely important as it sets the tone and expectations for the following lessons. Once the students perceive you a certain way (particularly young learners) it can be very difficult to change that perception. This unit seems to emphasize that idea. Overall this course has been very interesting for me, as it has reinforced some existing ideas for me, and also introduced some new ones. I look forward to implementing it in the classroom.I can foresee that students might have difficulty and experience confusion with phrasal verbs. However, they are important parts of successful communication and comprehension, so they should be taught through natural usage while students are exposed to authentic conversation. These practice conversations can be controlled so students can directly improve their ability to use phrasal verbs. I believe involving students in various communication contexts will be best to promote progress.
