This lesson gave a lot of information on classroom arrangements, teaching styles, behavioral issues and how to overcome them, as well as establishing rapport with the students. I feel that I learned a lot of applicable information and will be able to walk into a classroom with a clearer idea of how a room can be arranged to my advantage. When I inevitably lose control in a class with a few students, some good advice was given on how I can then deal with behavioral problems.This chapter talked about conditional speech and reported speech. It was interesting to me because I have never thought of reported speech in a systematic way. I use it everyday, but I never stopped to think about why I spoke in the manner I spoke. I learned about reported speech according to this chapter content makes it easier to teach the material to other people. Conditional speech was something I already understood well because I am currently learning a third language.
