This unit was extremely interesting in that I was able to learn about the differences between direct and reported speech and how that has an impact on the way you would speak. I learned that the zero conditional includes f/when + present tense, present tense. First conditional is when you use If + present tense, will. Second conditional is If + past simple, would + verb and third conditional is If + past perfect, would + have + past participle.This unit presented two versions of a lesson covering the same topic. In the first video, the teacher was rude, standoffish, and uninviting. He was unprepared, seemed annoyed with the students, and did not take time to engage them in the lesson. The second video was a joy to watch. The teacher seemed excited to be there, was well prepared, and formed a genuine connection with his class. The second video made me feel quite excited about teaching.
