Production is one of the more difficult things to get students to do from my experience. In my days teaching, most of my students have been quite shy and quiet and prefer reading and listening activities to speaking or writing activities. However, once they get going, creative speaking or writing activities can often be the most fun.
I agree with this lesson on its points that spelling and punctuation are very important. I think many other teacher I have worked with are so concerned with grammar that they often ignore spelling and punctuation problems. Although teachers may be able to understand what the students want to say with incorrect spelling/punctuation, other native speakers of English may not.
Additionally, I am thankful for this lessons list of English games, because I have found they are a fun way to engage the students with the material and am always happy to encounter more effective language games.
