I have learnt about past tense - Past Simple, Past Continuous, Past Perfect, Past Perfect Continuous, and these 4 types of past tenses are past equivalent to present tenses.
Here are the forms:
Past simple Positive: add -ed or -d to the base form of the verb
Negative: Subject + did + base form of verb
Question: Did + subject + base form of verb
Past Continuous Positive : Subject + was/were + verb+ing
Negative : Subject + was/were + not + verb+ing
Question : Was/Were + subject + verb+ing
Past Perfect Positive: Subject + had + past participle
Negative: Subject + had + not + past participle
Question: Had + subject + past participle
Past Perfect Continuous Positive: Subject + had + been + verb+ing
Negative: Subject + had + not + been + verb+ing
Question: Had + subject + been + verb+ing
