The relationship between teachers and students is the most important part of the learning process, which is most successful when it involves both good teachers and good learners. Good teachers are able to strike a balance between being personally motivated and well-versed in their curriculum, and able to connect with and motivate their students, in order to ensure that the knowledge being taught is successfully transferred to the students. Good students, on the other hand, are open to the learning process, willing to experiment, eager to ask questions when they don't understand the material, and able to accept the teacher's correction of their errors. Some students are more personally motivated than others, particularly when comparing adults with young learners, but part of the teacher's duty is to understand their students' needs and work to provide them with the motivation and support necessary for their success.
