This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
There are a lot of differences between lesson 1 and lesson 2. Based from my observations, lesson 1 mainly only focuses on study stage without even discussing modal auxiliary verb, student's level is something teachers should be aware of. A teacher's grumpy attitude and lack of enthusiasm, seems uncaring just for the sake to finish the lesson won't really help and engage the students to learn. In the end, students may still have a blank mind about the lesson.
On lesson 2, the teacher's attitude very much improved. He has a cheerful tone, smiling and he asked and called his students' names. He followed ESA stages, engaging the students about something they already know and was discussed further about animal vocabularies, pronunciation, recitation and discussion. Everyone is participating in class. The activate stage, students was able to construct sentences about modal auxiliary verb after stage 1 and 2 was discussed.
