The last tenth unit focuses on the different types of students’ language level and progress evaluation. It also describes some existing external tests that some students may wish to pass.
This unit talks about such kinds of tests as placement, progress, diagnostic tests and practice. I find the example of the placement very useful and I will use it in order to place new students into correct class with regard to their language ability. This unit is of great importance for me as it describes all the existing external examinations, such as TOEFL, IELTC, TOEIC, which I would like to try to pass in my future.
In this unit I have come across the names of the tests that I have never heard before. For example the test designed for immigrants who have moved Britain, is really an important test.
To sum up, this unit as well as the previous nine units that I have learnt are really very beneficial for my teaching career.
