For practical reasons, the EFL teachers consider three main times or tenses: the past, the present and the future. These basic tenses are further defined by four aspects: simple, continuous, perfect and perfect continuous thus making a total of 12 tenses.
In this particular course unit, the present tenses are discussed in combination with the above mentioned aspects - the present simple, the present continuous, the present perfect, and the present perfect continuous, respectively. When covering tenses and other grammar points in this course, focus is given to: 1) form, 2) usages, 3) examples of typical students errors, and 4) ideas and activities of the activate stage.
Songs and music are brilliant tools for learning any language. I appreciated the suggestion of the U2 song \"I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For\". It created an awareness in me for tenses in the lyrics and I look forward to use these in future.
