Unit 6 displayed the importance of teacher attitude and the power it has over the class spirit. It showed the stark contrast between confident inspired students and intimidated and apprehensive students, and how that environment can be created/avoided. The unit also displayed two very different lessons in terms of a naturally flowing, organic, fun and successful lesson and a poorly executed and poorly timed lesson with abrupt changes and seemingly no natural flow. I myself was confused watching the video for the first lesson, and as a native English speaker was unable to understand his nonsensical mumbles and felt uncomfortable with his rude, abrupt and shaming tone of voice. The second video however was enjoyable to watch, the time flew by as I saw the class enjoy themselves and enjoyed the interaction and success of the students. This unit was a very educational unit for me in terms of studying a successful lesson.
