Unit 9 taught me about lesson planning. How a lesson plan can be written down, what that should be included in it, and the functions of it - all of which will help a teacher to make a structured plan that is suitable for the students. One of the functions of a lesson plan is to keep track of what's been taught before, and how it was taught. It's also a document which the teacher can refer to during class, however the plan should still be simple and flexible, and the teacher should be able to respond to the need of the class. To make a lesson plan and include things like objectives of the learner, personal aims, anticipated problems, timing, class level and number of students, will help the teacher to think logically while planning. It will thereby be easier to chose teaching methods that is suitable for that specific group of students, and the whole learning process will be smoother, since the lesson is well prepared.
