This unit has been incredibly useful at addressing the needs of the individual learner and has given me ideas as the teacher to keep them engaged. It also addressed discipline and how to keep their focus which has really benefitted my understanding of teaching in particular to inspire rather than it being a chore. I found the differences in teaching young learners and business men and women very enlightening and how to adapt to the age and experience of the learners. Repetition is key with young learners and not to correct all mistakes to keep a positive mind set. One has to bear in mind with the business learners that they will be tired and not consistent in attendance due to life priorities which may hinder the learning, therefore being able to adapt lessons is key. The 'Needs analysis' is a useful tool in this regards to help the teachers understanding of what the students want to achieve and keep them coming back.
