It is often said that English learners and often teachers encounter the greatest amount of difficulties in the area of tense system. It is more practical for an EFL teacher to consider that there are three different tenses in English such as; the past, present and the future of which each has four aspects. Our point of focus here is on the future tense. The future tense is one of the most complex areas of the English language. We also see that so many different tenses and ideals can be used with future meanings. We examine the most common such as; the future simple, future continuous, future perfect, future perfect continuous, Be going + infinitive, present simple and the present continuous. We go further to also examine each in regards to their Forms , Usages, Typical mistakes/errors and teaching ideals. I will conclude therefore that, It is of great importance for a EFL teacher to master the tense system very well.
