This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
In this unit many of the things i remember learning when I was younger, and now take for granted were made clear to me.
This unit began with identifying parts of speech. These were nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, conjunctions, gerunds, prepositions, articles and pronouns. For each part of speech I learned how to recognize each, how it should be used, the different forms they come in, and where it should be placed in a sentence.
Within this unit the differences between adjectives, comparatives and superlatives were looked at, such as bad, worse, worst. Transitive and intransitive verbs were also looked at, among other more specifics aspects of each part of speech such as nouns, and the different types of nouns being proper, compound, collective, abstract and common.
After this unit I feel that I am more able to recognise and correctly use parts of speech as well as explain the purpose and meaning of them to others.
