This unit contains different methodologies in teaching the English language. It emphasizes the positive and negative sides of each method which should be noted by teachers so they can choose which method is appropriate for each type of activity and student level. The given activities for engage, study, and activate phases are very helpful but teachers should also be creative and resourceful enough to create new activities suitable to their students’ level and culture to make the lessons more fun and interesting. It is also important to give feedbacks to students on how well they performed on the activities so that the students will be able to evaluate their progress and they will also know where to improve. Teachers must practice extreme caution in correcting students just enough to correct their errors and not to the point of making them afraid to commit mistakes and prevent them from experimenting with the language.
