Unit nineteen focuses on teaching special groups. I enjoyed this unit as it had quite a bit of information regarding teaching adults business English, which, I believe, will be my focus after completion of this course (of course, as a result of this course, I may change my mind). Showing the techniques and possible difficulties teaching different levels of students made me realize that I have little interest in teaching beginners. I know I do not have the right skills in psychology for beginners. Furthermore, I confirmed my initial belief that I am not the best person to teach children. I am much too serious to be in a room with students who bore easily. Now, regarding teaching students one on one .... I think I could definitely enjoy that. Why? Definitely not because of the phrasal verb activities (see note from the last unit), but personal history can give me a better feel for the one student to whom I am trying to reach.
