Conditional
Zero: It contains actions which usually or always true (scientist facts) .
- If/When, present tense, present tense.
When (If) you cross an international dateline, the time changes.
First: It uses when action is possible in the future (will=may, might, can, should, must) if the condition is carried out.
- If+Present Simple, will.
If i have a paid well job, I will earn a lot money.
You might get your grade if you study hard.
Second: It used when the action is impossible.
- If + Past Simple, would/could/might +V
If I had a time, I would learn Spanish.
Third: It contains the actions in the pas which didn't happen.
-If + Past Perfect, would/could/might+have+Past Participle
If you hadn't forgotten your passport, we wouldn't have missed the plain.
Mixed: It contains the condition in the past and its ongoing result in the present.
- If +Past Perfect, would + V
If we had looked at the map, we wouldn't be lost.
