This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit deals with the parts of English that deals with conditionals and reported speech. Conditionals are sentences containing \"if\" or \"when\" and can refer to past, present or future possibilities. An example of this is, if I could see the future, I would know what was to come. There are a number of conditionals based on the tense being used. These include zero, first, second, third and mixed conditionals.
Reported speech is the reporting of a direct speech between to two people and then told to a third party, once again it can change depending on the tense used. When direct speech which takes place in the present simple is reported it changes to past simple when reported, when the present continuous tense is used, the reported speech changes to past continuous.
This unit has shown me that grammar has many forms, rules and tenses but that it is all intertwined and that teaching English is a job not to be taken lightly.
