This unit provied a class observation lesson. It compared two videos of a well taught lesson and a poorly designed lesson.
Each contained a number of good teaching practices and a number of bad.
It showed that energy of teacher and attitude towards students is highly important in the success of the lesson.
Using various prompts and materials to aid comprehension also is necessary to keep students stimulated.
It is also important to monitor and answer any questions students m8ght have as and when they arise. This will ensure students are following each concept as it is introduced and will allow problems to benrectified so all stud3nts can progress comfortably omto the next stage of thw lesson.
The video also enforced the neccessity of lesson planning. Each lesson could have been improved had time constraints not have been a factor. This is something i feel could have been avoided had anbetter lesson plan been followed.
