This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
I learned a lot under Unit 2: Theories, Methods, and Techniques. The EFL Methodology, Mistakes and Feedback, led me to realize that as a teacher I have a big role to accomplish in order to guide my students. In the methodology, I learned the Engage, Study, and Activate (ESA) lesson which is the most effective and logical method to use among new teachers when preparing a lesson for the students. I also learned more methodologies and patterns that I can use in the teaching and learning process. Moreover, I learned that Mistakes/errors which are commonly committed have to have a feedback. Providing feedback creates awareness and improvement on the part of the learner. By providing an ongoing feedback, a teacher can guide and help his/her student to evaluate their success and progress in every lesson. I enjoyed learning the different methods in teaching. I hope that I can use these learning in order for me to become an excellent teacher.
