I have learnt about what a lesson plan is and why we need it. Basically, this chapter incorporates subtly what was taught in the previous chapters about ESA, specifically Chapter 7. It helps to remember the structure for the typical ESA grammar or vocabulary lesson bearing in mind that lesson plans need not be fixed or inflexible. It is best to have a lesson plan, assess the class situation and judge what deems fit and if some immediate changes/flexibility is needed. I plan to keep a file of my lesson plan to ensure ease whenever I want to track the class's progress. It also helps to see what else needs to be done of if there are any other ways then I can encourage students to improve after strategising or seeing it from a macro-perspective using the file as a resource. The type of interaction also matters because ideally, I will like that my students get the chance to speak up as well in order to improve their conversational skills.
