After studying and reflecting on what I have learned from Units 4 and 6 (present and past tenses), I felt more comfortable with identifying the future tenses. As I was going through this unit, I realized how repetitive the 4 aspects are in each of the tenses, which helped me memorize the form that each aspect uses. For example, I memorized that the present perfect continuous always has “have†and “beenâ€, so it was easy for me to identify this with sentences containing those words. However, the section that I had a problem understanding was the present tense with future meaning. I become confused with which tense to use if a sentence looks like the form of a present tense, however I have to figure out if the context pertains to the future. I carefully noted the section concerning the usages for each tense and practiced with different sentences until I was more comfortable with identifying all aspects of each tense.
