In this unit I became aware of the general ways in which teacher can face problems with students, and references as well as overviews to some of the solutions to these basic problems. Mostly, students need to be motivated to want to learn when they come to class. This can be a problem from the very first class, when existing group students need to build a rapport with the teacher, and in some cases, with new groups, even with themselves. Warmers are a great way to start a class, as some of the students may need motivation to want to learn about your class objectives. Furthermore, some students are more shy than others, and may need group or pair work to help them come out of their shells. They may even rely on their native language, and the assistance of advanced learners in the classroom to help them. In this case, and in some others, using native language can be beneficial, and doesn't have to be entirely banned from the classroom.
