During this introduction course, I learned about what makes a person a good teacher. Many details were given, but what I have realized after taking this course, is that a good teacher, cares about their students and their students learning outcomes. Next, the course gave key examples of what a teacher`s role is during the lesson and how it can change depending on the activities within the classroom. Naturally, I have done most of these in the classroom, but I didn`t know what the specific names were for each role. It also gave some pros and cons of some of the roles. Such as not dominating an activity when you are a Participant and not overusing the Manager role in the classroom. In addition to providing information about good teachers and their roles in the classroom, the course discussed the learners. It talked about the different levels of each student and how to recognize the differences between teaching young learners and adults.
