This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
A teacher must show respect and kindness to his students as he would want his students to show him. Class management depends on class size, student age, level of English being taught, and the established rapport between the student and the teacher. A teacher must establish rapport with his students as it will more easily help the student manage the class by gaining the students respect and creating a class environment more conducive to learning and teaching.I enjoyed this unit because it helped me think about the different classroom settings I could possibly teach in the future and some ideas on the best way to handle them. I believe it is important that the lesson emphasized on the business English classroom setting because when I was in Thailand over the summer, it was common to hear basic English from business people so they can interact with the customers so I believe that is a very common classroom setting.
