This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This chapter focuses on the productive skills; speaking and writing, which are to communicate. I totally agree that writing is the most difficult part among four basic skills, but it is the most neglected skill at the same time. Therefore, I focused on how to help students to improve their writing skill while I was reading. For English learners, even though it is not completely easy because of the difference between the way the letters pronounced and the way they written, if they don't have a great spelling skill, they might be considered as less-educated people. Therefore, teachers' job is to help them to get used to spell and pronounce in a right way and be fluent. Accuracy activities are to produce correct language output and they are usually a part of the study phase; on the other hand, fluency activities which are typically a part of the activate phase are focused on students to try and be creative with language they are learning.
