I learnt that there are numerous teaching aides one can employ when teaching students, each with their own set of advantages and disadvantages. This unit was therefore very helpful in helping me start to think about how I want to go about teaching prospective students, and the resources I have at my disposal. Though, As stated in the unit, the resources one can use is dependent on the resources offered by the school.
I found the point on 'board management' especially useful, as the little teaching that I've done, I've always run into problems with managing the layout of what I write on the board, and often worry if it is not confusing my students. I will therefore try make a 'board plan' from now on in the hopes that it will improve my future lessons.
The list of online resources is immensely helpful and I have gleaned a lot of ideas, resources and confidence from browsing through all those which were listed in the module. Thank you!
