In this unit, I learned that a teacher does not need to know everything in order to help his students succeed. If my students are business people, I do not need to be an expert in being a business person, I only need to have a general understanding of their industry so as to make the English lesson relevant to them. I also learned more about how to teach younger learners and using all that I have at my disposal and under my control to make things engaging and helpful for them.From this unit i have learnt that there are many tools to aid the teacher, it seems are we head towards the future the digital side of learning will be more the common. So computers and interactive whiteboards seem to be the most beneficial, although it all depends where you are teaching, for eg, a 3rd world country school probably does not have the budget for computers, so a blackboard will do just fine. I like that there are so many online sources that are on offer online too.
