This unit showed be the value of regular testing and also exposed me to a range of evaluation methods. Before reading this unit, I was unaware of the various types of tests and how they can help and benefit students and teachers alike. Moreover, in the video each external examination possibility was explained in detail and I found it helpful to see the uses of the various exams and how they are regarded by different institutions. The example of a placement test was also very useful and will be very helpful in the future if I am ever tasked with creating a placement test.In this unit, I learned about different equipment available to the teacher. I learned that it is important to incorporate different teaching aids, as this will keep the class fresh and the students interested. I think a responsible teacher will make use of every aid available to him or her in order to teach students English. It would be a shame for a teacher to only use worksheets and ignore the wealth of other aids and equipment available to him or her. I really appreciate the large list of online resources provided in this unit. I think that will be an invaluable help.
