It is fun to get creative with learning. There are so many different ways you could plan a class to suit different students and learning styles. The possiblities are endless. I didn't realize how creative teaching can be. It is very important to be prepared, and have structure in your lessons. It shows when you are not prepared, and it makes students loose respect for your authority. As well, it is important to be flexible in your plans, realizing that things might not always go as planned and if it dosn't than to roll with it and make it work. This unit focuses primarily on organizing classes, both in physical terms and in terms of discipline. For example, this unit goes over the pros and cons of different seating arrangements, as well as different approaches to dealing with problematic behavior. I think the most helpful aspect of this unit was the list of different ways to engage students with each other.
