Teaching a new language can be just as fun as learning it! In this unit, it goes over covering vocabulary, grammar and language functions and with each of those we are given teaching plan ideas. I learnt that while teaching vocabulary and grammar structures I would be able to think of creative ways in which to teach them to my potential students. I understand that there is very useful vocabulary that is used in everyday situations and by adding those in with various grammar structures it would help the students understand the English language better.Equipment and teaching aids are paramount to language teaching. These materials help teachers illustrate and reinforce a skill, fact, or idea, or vague concepts. They also ?make lesson more interesting, effective and less dependent on textbooks?. They also improve learners? comprehension skills. Common resources used in the classroom are: white/black board. Interactive whiteboards, OHP, visual aids,, worksheets, CD/DVD player, cassette recorder, course books, dictionaries, computers, video camera, online resources, course books and photocopier.
