This unit was very informative for me because I have not studied the parts of speech since high school. I am very happy I took notes while working my way through this unit. I believe grammar related lessons are the most difficult for teachers and students alike. It's hard to make learning grammar interesting for even native speaking students. Students may ask questions that the teacher may have difficulty answering. As a learner, it takes time and practice to fully grasp the rules and concepts to a point where he or she feels confident to apply them.The use of the two contrasting video classes definitely emphasizes the more correct way to teach. It was difficult for me to get through the first one as the students looked so confused and the teacher seemingly did not have a clue how to connect with the students. Loved the part where the teacher wadded up his copy of the worksheet he had given the students. That should impress on the students the importance of the worksheets. In the second video, the teacher gave examples and explanation so the students felt more confident in risking an answer.
